Preparing rough ground
Clear brambles, nettles and roots fully, as they'll push back up through turf. Dig or rotavate, rake out stones, then level and firm the surface by treading it before raking it loose on top.
Questions people ask
Do I need to add topsoil?
If the ground is stony or very thin, yes. Turf roots best into a good layer of loose soil.
How much does one roll cover?
About 1 m², so the number of square metres you need is the number of rolls. The order form rounds up to whole rolls.
